2nd Merit List and Subject Change Notification

According to the official notice, the 2nd merit list and subject change results for students admitted through the 1st merit list will be published on 24 July 2025 at 4:00 PM. This list includes students who have been selected for admission in the 2nd phase as well as those who have applied for subject changes after being admitted through the 1st merit list.

How to Check the 2nd Merit List Result

• Via SMS: Students can check their results from 4:00 PM by sending an SMS in the following format:

• Online: The results will also be available from 9:00 PM on the same day on the NU admission website. Visit www.nu.ac.bd/admissions and go to the Honours Tab, then click on the "Admission Test Result" option.

Instructions for 2nd Merit List Students

Students who are selected in the 2nd merit list and have already been admitted to any program in the 2023-2024 academic year must cancel their previous admission by 31 July 2025. They must then complete the final admission form online. Failure to do so will result in the cancellation of their current admission and registration for the 2024-2025 session due to dual admission.

If a student wishes to change their subject, they must select the "Yes" option in the subject change section of the final admission form. Subject changes will be made based on merit and the availability of seats in the respective colleges.

Admission and Subject Change Process

1. Subject Change Admission Form: Students who are eligible for subject change can download and print their new admission form from 26 July 2025 to 3 August 2025. If a student's subject is changed, their previous subject admission will be cancelled and the new subject will be confirmed. If not, their previous subject admission will remain valid.
2. No Additional Fee for Subject Change: Students do not need to pay any extra fee for subject change.
3. Final Admission Form Fill-up: Students selected in the 2nd merit list must fill up the final admission form online and print or download the PDF copy between 26 July 2025 and 3 August 2025. This can be done by logging in to the NU admission website using the correct Application ID and PIN.
4. Submission of Admission Form and Fee: Students must submit the printed final admission form along with the registration fee of 565 Taka to their respective colleges between 27 July 2025 and 4 August 2025. The fee can be paid via mobile banking (as determined by the college) or directly at the college.
5. College Confirmation: Colleges will verify all information and documents provided by the students and confirm the final admission between 27 July 2025 and 6 August 2025. If any discrepancies are found in the information or photographs, the college must report the issue to the Dean of the School of Undergraduate Studies.
6. College Deposit of Registration Fee: Colleges must deposit the collected registration fees to any branch of Sonali Bank between 7 August 2025 and 13 August 2025. The payment slip can be downloaded from the NU admission portal, and the account number for the registration fee will be mentioned on the slip.
