Abdur Rahim is a rickshaw puller. He is very poor. Everyday he has to work hard to maintain his family. One day while he was pulling rickshaw, a gentleman got on his rickshaw. The man reached the destination and paid him the fare. But at the time of putting his purse into his pocket, it dropped inside the rickshaw. The man went away. Abdur Rahim wanted to take rest for a while and went to a quiet place. Suddenly he saw a purse on his rickshaw. Being confused about what to do, he took it to his house. At home, he opened the purse and found twenty thousand dollars inside the purse. He showed his wife Jarina the purse. She told him to keep the money for themselves, but the rickshaw puller did not agree with his wife. He wanted to find out the person who dropped the purse. But his wife insisted that her husband keep the money for themselves. She pointed out logically on behalf of using the money for themselves. She even began to quarrel with her husband on the issue. But the rickshaw puller was honest. He paid no heed to his wife's argument. He thought if he returned the money to the owner of the purse, he would reward him with some money. So he found out the address of the owner and returned the money to him. The owner of the purse became very pleased. He then seemed to be overwhelmed with the pleasure of getting back money rather than expressing gratitude to the rickshaw puller.

Although Kashem knew that the odds of winning were slim, he was nevertheless tempted to buy a ticket. He noted the date of the draw and waited with bated breath for the results. On the day of the draw, he purchased a daily newspaper, which he perused with great eagerness. Having received rudimentary education in his childhood, Kashem could read and write, albeit to a limited extent. He carefully scanned the pages of the newspaper in search of the lottery result, his heart pounding with excitement as he searched for his ticket number. Finally, to his great surprise, he found his ticket number listed at the top of the winning numbers.
Overwhelmed with joy, Kashem broke down in tears. But the magnitude of his win left him unsure of how to proceed. Kashem decided to seek the advice of a school teacher in his neighborhood, who had kindly offered to assist him. Together, they went to the nearest police station to request security and subsequently contacted the lottery authorities. The officials confirmed Kashem's ticket and awarded him twenty-five lac taka as the first prize. Kashem returned home under police protection, his joy knowing no bounds.
With his newfound wealth, Kashem resolved to pursue self-employment. He returned to his village and invested in a poultry farm and a stationery shop, both of which proved profitable ventures. The remaining amount was deposited in a bank. Kashem's days of hardship were finally over, and he became financially stable and self-sufficient.

He know right away it belong to the passenger. He want to return it but he was not sure how.
Then, he remember where he picking up the passenger near a house in Paribag, Dhaka. Abdur Rahman went to that house, hoping the man live there. He meet a woman and show her wallet. She recognized it and calling her husband.The man come home quickly. Abdur Rahman happily return the wallet. The couple was very thankful and offer him some money as a reward. But Abdur Rahman politely refused, feeling their respect was enough.

আবদুর রহমান একজন গরিব রিকশাওয়ালা। তিনি প্রতিদিন খুব পরিশ্রম করেন তার পরিবারের জন্য। একদিন, রিকশা চালানোর সময় একজন লোক তার রিকশায় উঠলেন। গন্তব্যে পৌঁছে লোকটি ভাড়া দিলেন এবং চলে গেলেন। কিন্তু পকেটে মানিব্যাগ রাখতে গিয়ে সেটি রিকশার ভেতরে পড়ে যায়, যা তিনি খেয়াল করেননি।
পরে, আবদুর রহমান যখন বাড়ি ফিরছিলেন, তখন তিনি রিকশায় মানিব্যাগটি পেলেন। সঙ্গে সঙ্গে বুঝলেন এটি সেই যাত্রীর। তিনি সেটি ফেরত দিতে চাইলেন, কিন্তু কীভাবে তা করবেন বুঝতে পারলেন না।তখন তিনি মনে করলেন, সেই যাত্রীকে পারীবাগের একটি বাড়ির সামনে থেকে তুলেছিলেন। তিনি ভাবলেন হয়তো যাত্রী সেখানেই থাকেন। তাই তিনি সেই বাড়িতে গেলেন। সেখানে একজন মহিলার সাথে দেখা হলো এবং তাকে মানিব্যাগটি দেখালেন। মহিলা সেটি চিনতে পারলেন, কারণ এটি তার স্বামীর মানিব্যাগ। তিনি তার স্বামীকে ফোন করলেন।
লোকটি তাড়াতাড়ি বাড়ি এলেন। আবদুর রহমান তাকে মানিব্যাগটি খুশি মনে ফেরত দিলেন। দম্পতি খুব কৃতজ্ঞ হলেন এবং আবদুর রহমানকে কিছু অর্থ দেওয়ার প্রস্তাব করলেন। কিন্তু আবদুর রহমান বিনয়ের সাথে সেই অর্থ নিতে অস্বীকৃতি জানালেন, তাদের কৃতজ্ঞতাই তার জন্য যথেষ্ট ছিল।
